These days, a wedding website isn’t just a nice-to-have bonus—it’s essential. It’s the one-stop hub for everything your guests need to know (and hopefully a way to cut down on the endless “what time is the ceremony?” texts from relatives). Not only does it keep details organized, but it also works double-duty by collecting important info from your guests. Plus, because it’s often one of the first things people see—right alongside your engagement announcement, save the date, or invite—it helps set the tone for your entire celebration.

Of course, we know the reality: wedding costs add up fast. That’s why finding places to save money, like on your website, can feel like such a relief. The tricky part? Free options that are actually stylish and user-friendly are harder to come by these days. Meet Lovebird. Known for making wedding guest communication seamless and elegant, Lovebird now offers completely free wedding websites. At Junebug, we’re all about simplifying the planning process, and this is one upgrade that saves money without compromising your vision.

Introducing Lovebird’s Free Wedding Websites

If you’ve been worrying that a free wedding website means sacrificing design or functionality, we’re happy to introduce Lovebird. Simple, intuitive, and mobile-friendly, it gives you the flexibility to create something that feels uniquely yours without any added costs.

suite of digital wedding guest communication

Why Couples Are Loving Lovebird

Let’s be real—sometimes “free” comes with strings attached. You get a bare-bones version, then realize you have to upgrade just to add the basics. Thankfully, that’s not the case with Lovebird. Their free wedding websites actually come with useful features that make your wedding planning process that much easier:

  • Flexible Content: Add everything your guests need to know—like the schedule, travel details, FAQs, registry links, and more—in one place.
  • Design Customization: You can actually play with colors and fonts to reflect your wedding style.
  • Custom URL: Create a personalized link that’s easy to share (and easy for guests to remember).
  • QR Code: Skip the typing—give guests quick access to your site with a simple scan.
  • Password Protection: Keep things private by adding an optional password, so only your guests can view the details.
  • Matching Digital Stationery: If cohesion is the name of your game, you can upgrade and add matching digital invites and cards.

What Makes Lovebird’s Free Wedding Websites Different

Beyond the features, there are a few ways Lovebird truly sets itself apart from other free wedding websites. For starters, it’s built by an innovative tech company trusted by millions—the same team behind Punchbowl, Timehop, and Memento—so you know the foundation is reliable. Site templates are another highlight: they’re modern, elegant, and refreshed regularly with seasonal and on-trend designs, making it easy to create a site that feels both polished and personal.

Couples who choose Lovebird not only get a free, customizable site, but can also pair it with digital save the dates and invitations with a simple upgrade. The result is a seamless, consistent experience for guests and a stress-free way for you to track and manage information without juggling multiple platforms.

Lovebird in Action

We decided to test-drive Lovebird ourselves—and it couldn’t have been simpler. On their wedding websites page, you just pick a template design (I went with the Lake Como template, because, well… a girl can dream). From there, it’s as easy as clicking “Get Started,” entering your wedding details, and letting the builder walk you through the rest.

The setup feels intuitive and polished, with a left-hand navigation that lets you move through each section of your site step by step. You can choose fonts and colors, then build out your pages: Schedule, Our Story, Registry, FAQs, and more. Adding imagery, welcome messages, hotel recs, and travel info takes just a few clicks.

The interface is smooth, polished, and easy to personalize, so you end up with a website that’s both functional and a true reflection of your celebration.

See for yourself how easy it is to bring all your wedding details together in one beautiful place. Start building your free Lovebird wedding website today.

Planning your wedding is an exciting journey, and one of the first things you’ll want to set up is your wedding website. A well-designed site keeps guests informed, helps with RSVPs, and adds a personal touch to your big day. But with so many wedding website builders out there, how do you choose the right one?

To make it easier, we’ve broken down the best wedding websites based on pricing, features, and usability. Whether you’re looking for a free, no-fuss solution or a high-end customizable site, this guide will help you find the perfect fit for your wedding needs.

The 8 Best Wedding Websites That Every Couple Should Know

1. Joy

Price: Free

What We Like: Joy is a completely free wedding website builder with a sleek, user-friendly interface. It offers an intuitive design, mobile-friendly layout, RSVP management, and a matching app for on-the-go updates. Plus, they’ve expanded their stationery offerings, allowing couples to order printed invites that match their wedding website.

What Could Be Better: Joy doesn’t offer custom domain names, and while their templates are modern, many designs lean toward floral and rustic aesthetics. Additionally, their photo uploader doesn’t allow resizing or repositioning, which can be limiting for couples with large images.

2. Zola

Price: Free

What We Like: Zola’s wedding website seamlessly integrates with their well-known registry platform, making it a convenient one-stop shop. Their website builder is simple, clean, and easy to navigate, even for tech novices. It includes RSVP tracking, registry integration, and matching digital invitations.

What Could Be Better: Zola’s customization options are limited, and certain text fields cannot be edited. Custom domain names are also not available, and there’s a persistent footer promoting Zola’s services at the bottom of each site.

3. Lovebird

Couples can also coordinate their website with matching digital save the dates, invitations, and thank you cards.

Your vows have been exchanged, the cake has been cut, and the last dance is behind you. So—what comes next? After the celebration winds down, there are still a few meaningful tasks to complete. From practical to-do’s like finalizing paperwork and payments to more thoughtful gestures like preserving your dress or donating your flowers, this post-wedding checklist will help you tie up every last detail. You’ve spent months planning a day full of love and meaning—now’s the time to close it out with that same care and intention.

Your Post-Wedding Checklist

1. Set Aside Items for a Keepsake Box

While you can’t keep everything, you can keep a little. We love the idea of creating a small keepsake box filled with details from your day—like a dried boutonnière, a copy of your invitation, a cocktail napkin, or a handful of toss petals. These tiny tokens can spark vivid memories for years to come. It’s perfectly fine to recycle most of your paper goods and resell any decor you no longer need, but don’t hesitate to tuck away the items that feel especially sentimental. Knowing a few special pieces will stay with you can make it easier to let go of the rest.

2. Donate Leftover Food and Flowers

One of the most overlooked post-wedding tasks? Deciding what to do with all the leftover food and flowers. Start by asking your caterer to package up any surplus that’s safe to donate. You can then coordinate with a local food rescue or nonprofit organization to arrange a drop-off the following morning. Some venues or caterers may even have donation partners already in place—just ask!

As for your flowers, don’t toss those gorgeous blooms. Donate them to hospitals, senior care facilities, or local charities that can repurpose them. You might also keep a bouquet or a single arrangement for yourself. For ideas on how to preserve your bouquet, check out this guide.

3. Return Rentals

Maybe a no-brainer for your post-wedding checklist, but make sure all your rentals—linens, glassware, suits, signage, and more—are returned on time. If you’re heading off on your honeymoon right away, assign this task to a trusted friend or family member to avoid late fees or replacement charges.

4. Finalize Wedding Payments

With the big day behind you, now is the time to square up any remaining balances with your vendor team. Many vendors require final payment shortly after the event, so review your contracts, track down outstanding invoices, and make sure everyone is paid in full.

5. Leave Vendor Reviews

One of the best ways to thank your wedding team is by leaving thoughtful reviews. Your kind words go a long way—especially for small businesses that rely on client testimonials to grow.

We recommend writing your reviews while the experience is still fresh. Not sure where to start? Choose three words to describe the professional (like “creative,” “organized,” “genuine”), explain how they made you feel during the planning and on the big day, and share how well they brought your vision to life. You can leave reviews on Junebug’s vendor portfolios, Google, or the vendor’s preferred website.

6. Preserve Your Wedding Attire

Whether you hope to pass your outfit down one day or simply want to preserve it as a meaningful keepsake, consider having your wedding attire professionally cleaned and preserved. Skip the standard dry cleaner—specialty preservation services will clean your gown or suit with expert attention to detail, then use archival techniques like acid-free materials and UV-protected packaging to keep it in pristine condition for years to come.

7. Handle the Legal Details

There are a handful of legal tasks to take care of after your wedding. While not the most exciting part of newlywed life, they’re important—and entirely manageable.

Here’s what to consider:

  • Certify your marriage license or certificate
  • Update identification documents if you’re changing your name (Social Security card, driver’s license, passport, etc.)
  • Review and update insurance policies (health, auto, life)
  • Update beneficiary designations on financial accounts
  • Create or update your will
  • Consider creating a postnuptial agreement

8. Start Planning for your Wedding Photos

We strongly believe your wedding photos deserve more than a folder on your desktop. Start researching wedding photo albums and print services so that once your gallery is ready, you’re prepared to create something tangible and lasting.

9. Send Thank You Notes

Now’s the time to express your gratitude to everyone who celebrated with you. Whether you’re sending handwritten notes that match your wedding stationery or choosing a digital option for sustainability and speed, a heartfelt thank you goes a long way.

Love a good checklist? We’ve got more to help you stay organized. Check out our wedding planning checklist, decor checklist, and honeymoon checklist to keep everything on track from start to finish.

Let’s be honest—“hotel room block” doesn’t exactly carry the same sparkle as “floral installation” or “wedding dress.” Some parts of wedding planning are rich with creativity and emotion. Others? Pure logistics. And figuring out where all your guests should stay for your wedding tends to fall into that second category.

Whether you’re spreadsheet-obsessed or more go-with-the-flow, one thing is most likely true: your time is limited. And managing hotel room blocks takes a surprising amount of it.

That’s why we’re genuinely excited about Engine. It’s the hack so many couples have been wishing for. Engine is a free (yes, free) platform that takes the stress out of hotel room blocks by combining smart technology with real human support. Engine finds the best rates and manages the entire process for you—from research, to booking, and even reconciling charges after checkout.

In other words, Engine lifts this surprisingly complex task off your shoulders so that you can get back to the parts of planning that actually bring you joy. And in a time when mental wellness and boundaries matter more than ever, that’s the kind of help worth taking advantage of.

Wait, What Is a Hotel Room Block?

If you’re not totally sure what a hotel room block is, don’t worry. It’s not the kind of thing most people know about—until they’re suddenly expected to handle one.

A hotel block is essentially a group of rooms held under your name for guests who are traveling for your wedding. Sounds simple enough, but in reality it takes a lot of time and effort to organize. You are typically the one coordinating all of it—reaching out to hotels, comparing rates and availability, negotiating terms, organizing check-in dates, all while keeping guests in the loop. It quickly turns into a full-time job.

But here’s why couples still do it: it saves money, makes travel easier for guests, and helps everyone feel connected. Hotels often offer discounted rates when you book in bulk, and your guests are guaranteed to secure a room close to your venue. It’s a thoughtful gesture that also helps streamline your wedding weekend.

This is where Engine comes in: removing this time-consuming task from your to-do list completely. From the research to the negotiation to the final booking confirmation, Engine handles every step of the exhausting hotel room block process. Here’s what makes it even better: it’s completely free to use. Just free help with one of the most notoriously tedious parts of wedding planning.

How Does Engine Work?

It all starts with one simple form. You fill out your event details like dates, location, and guest count. Once submitted, you’ll get hotel proposals in as little as four business hours. From there, it’s straightforward and stress-free.

Every couple is paired with their own dedicated trip manager—an actual human—who guides you every step of the way. Once hotel proposals come in, Engine handles the heavy lifting: reviewing availability, negotiating rates, and narrowing down options that truly fit your needs.

You’ll get an easy-to-read proposal comparing your best hotel choices. You pick the one that works best for you, and Engine takes care of everything else.

Engine makes this magic happen with a thoughtful blend of smart technology and real people. The tech speeds up the process, automating the research. The human experts step in to negotiate better pricing and handle the nuanced logistics. It’s a true best-of-both-worlds situation: efficient where it can be, personal where it matters.

What Engine Does For You

We know that Engine saves you time. But it also fixes other pain points that come with hotel room blocks. Here’s what it tackles head-on:

  • Real Discounts: Engine finds the best possible rates and terms for your block, often up to 22% off the publicly listed prices. That’s money your guests will appreciate saving.
  • Skip the Online Booking Headache: Most hotel websites cap online bookings at nine rooms. After that, you’re expected to pick up the phone and call around. Engine handles those conversations for you—because no one wants to spend their lunch break on hold with hotel reception.
  • Easily Manage Multiple Hotels: With limited room block availability becoming more common, many couples are having to split their guests across more than one hotel. Engine makes it simple by organizing all your blocks in one place.
  • Handle the Guest Juggling Act: Room blocks aren’t just about securing the right number of rooms—they’re also about getting the right rooms for the right people at the right time. Engine smooths out all the details, from availability to amenities.

Weddings are supposed to be joyful. And while room blocks might not be the most glamorous part of the process, they don’t have to be the most stressful either. With Engine, you get time back, clarity you didn’t know you needed, and a smoother experience for your guests. It’s sure to be a tool you tell other engaged friends about later. Start your room block search on Engine and see just how easy it can be.

Flowers play a big role in shaping the look and feel of your wedding day. They can tie your color palette together, bring character to blank spaces, and add a splash of natural beauty to photos. Whether you’re envisioning lush arrangements or just a few thoughtful accents, it’s helpful to know where florals can be used and how to get the most out of them.

This wedding flower checklist is organized into five sections, guiding you from getting ready to the last dance. Even if you’ve never worked with a florist before, you’ll find clear ideas, optional extras, and practical tips to help you plan your blooms with confidence.

Wedding Flower Checklist

Wedding Party Flowers

These are the flowers you and your wedding party will hold or wear. They appear in most of your portraits and throughout the ceremony, so consider how they coordinate with your overall wedding style.

  • Bridal bouquet – Your main floral statement. Choose blooms that reflect your personal style and work with your dress and color palette.
  • Bridesmaids’ bouquets – Can be smaller versions of your bouquet or feature complementary blooms for variety.
  • Boutonnieres – Small accents for the groom, groomsmen, fathers, and grandfathers; opt for hardy flowers that won’t wilt quickly.
  • Corsages – Worn on the wrist or pinned, often for mothers, grandmothers, or other honored guests.
  • Flower girl flowers – Petals to toss, a mini bouquet, or a floral crown for a playful touch.
  • Ring bearer flowers – A boutonniere or small floral accent for the youngest members of your party.
  • Hair florals – Fresh blooms or greenery for the bride or attendants, secured by a hairstylist on the day.

JB Tip: Finalize your wedding party count early. The number of bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages can be one of the biggest factors in your wedding flower checklist and budget.

Ceremony Florals

These flowers help frame your vows and create the backdrop for some of your most meaningful photos. Aim for arrangements that are easy to see from any seat while still keeping the focus on you.

  • Ceremony arch, chuppah, or backdrop – Frames you during vows and creates a focal point.
  • Grounded arrangements – Low, garden-style florals placed around the altar without blocking sightlines.
  • Aisle markers – Small floral or greenery accents at the end of each row of chairs.
  • Pew or chair flowers – Great for highlighting the first few rows or special family seating.
  • Entryway arrangements – Welcomes guests into the ceremony space.
  • Welcome sign florals – A small arrangement to tie your floral palette into your signage.

JB Tip: Ask your florist or planner about repurposing ceremony arrangements for your reception or cocktail hour.

Cocktail Hour Florals

Cocktail hour is where guests mingle after the ceremony, often in a separate space. A few well-placed arrangements can keep the design flowing and make the area feel just as intentional as the rest of your day.

  • High-top table arrangements – Bud vases or small arrangements that don’t block conversation.
  • Bar florals – A fresh arrangement to make the drink station inviting.
  • Cocktail garnish station flowers – Edible flowers, herbs, or greenery to dress up drink displays.
  • Lounge seating flowers – Small arrangements for coffee or side tables in relaxed seating areas.
  • Welcome table or guestbook florals – Adds a decorative touch to interactive spots.

JB Tip: This is the easiest place to reuse ceremony flowers. Move aisle arrangements to high-top tables or place the altar florals near the bar for a cost-effective addition.

Reception Florals

Reception flowers bring your color palette and style into the space where guests will spend the most time. From centerpieces to accent pieces, they help create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

  • Guest table centerpieces – The main floral decor for your dining space, from single stems to lush arrangements.
  • Sweetheart or head table flowers – More elaborate arrangements to set your table apart.
  • Table garlands or runners – Greenery or flowers running the length of rectangular tables.
  • Place setting florals – A single bloom, sprig of herbs, or greenery at each seat for a personal touch.
  • Lounge area flowers – Adds polish to relaxed seating areas.
  • Bar arrangement – A bold floral piece to make the bar a focal point.
  • Buffet or dessert table flowers – Adds color and style to your food displays.

JB Tip: If you’re using tall arrangements on guest tables, consider designs that sit high enough for guests to see and talk across the table comfortably.

Floral Finishing Touches

These smaller, unexpected details can make your wedding feel extra special. While not essential, they add charm and personality in ways guests will remember.

  • Cake flowers – Fresh or dried blooms on the cake or cake table; ensure they’re food-safe or placed with floral picks.
  • Restroom arrangements – A thoughtful touch that makes guests feel cared for.
  • Getaway car flowers – Garlands or mini bouquets tied to your exit vehicle.
  • Favors with floral accents – A sprig of lavender or a dried bloom tied to each gift.
  • Staircase or railing flowers – Adds drama in grand venues.
  • Photo booth backdrop – Makes for more memorable guest photos.
  • Signage flowers – Floral accents for seating charts, directional signs, or welcome boards.

JB Tip: Some of these details can work well as DIY projects. Picking up flowers the day before and arranging them yourself can be a budget-friendly option.

Think of this wedding flower checklist as a helpful starting point rather than a list you have to complete. Choose the flowers that feel most meaningful to you, then add details that fit your budget, venue, and style.

Pro Tip: Pin this checklist for quick reference as you plan, or download the spreadsheet to keep everything organized. With a clear plan, your flowers can do more than decorate—they can bring a sense of continuity and intention to every part of your day.

If you’re wondering how much alcohol to buy for a wedding, you’re not alone. While many venues, caterers, or bar services provide alcohol as part of their packages, there are plenty of scenarios where you might need to purchase it yourself. That can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make it easier. From deciding on the type of bar to calculating how much to buy and where to purchase in bulk, here’s everything you need to know about wedding alcohol.

What Type of Bar Should I Have?

Before stocking up on bottles, you need to decide which kind of bar setup best suits your wedding.

Open Bar

An open bar allows guests to order any drink they’d like, as many times as they please. This typically includes top-shelf selections and a variety of liquors, wines, and beers. Because of the unlimited nature of an open bar, it’s the most expensive option and usually requires professional bartenders.

Limited Bar

A limited bar features a pre-set drink menu, often including two signature cocktails, a selection of wine (red and white), and beer. This option gives your guests variety while keeping costs more manageable.

What Alcohol Should I Serve?

A good starting point is a mix of 50% liquor, 25% beer, and 25% wine. Typically, wine is split evenly between red and white. But of course, you can adjust these ratios based on your personal preference or wedding style.

Signature Cocktail

Signature cocktails are a fun way to personalize your wedding drinks. Choose a cocktail that reflects your taste and theme—for example, mai tais for a tropical wedding or spiked cider for a cozy autumn celebration. You can even get creative and name the drinks after your pet or an inside joke.

Champagne Toast

A champagne toast is a classic wedding tradition. If you plan on having one, factor in the additional bottles needed. For larger weddings (over 50 guests), individual pours can quickly become a logistical headache. You could instead opt for a modern, trendy champagne tower which is perfect for photo opps.

Mocktails

Don’t forget about the non-drinkers! If you have guests who prefer mocktails, offering a thoughtfully crafted non-alcoholic option is a great way to make everyone feel included. Instead of just water or soda, consider something festive like a virgin sangria or a sparkling lemonade—perfect for a summer celebration.

How Much Alcohol to Buy for a Wedding?

The golden rule: It’s always better to have too much than too little.

To estimate how much to buy, consider:

  • Guest count
  • Reception duration
  • Time of wedding (guests will typically drink more at Friday weddings compared to Sunday ones)
  • Whether you’re having a champagne toast

A general formula is one drink per person per hour, or about five drinks per person for a five-hour event. Using this information and the proportions shared above, if you have 100 guests and are not including a champagne toast, you would need approximately:

  • 125 beers (500 total drinks x 25%)
  • 25 bottles of wine (125 glasses, assuming five glasses per bottle)
  • 13 bottles of liquor (250 mixed drinks, assuming 20 servings per bottle)

If math isn’t your thing or you’d rather skip the number crunching, don’t worry–there are plenty of wedding alcohol calculators to do the work for you. Just keep in mind that each calculator  may use a slightly different formula, so results may vary! Still, they’re a useful way to get a solid estimate of how much alcohol to buy for your wedding.

Say I Do is a wedding website platform and app that goes beyond just creating a pretty page. It’s a game-changer for couples aiming to save time and money in the often-overwhelming world of wedding planning.

The Easy Wedding Planning App You Needed Yesterday

What Makes Say I Do Stand Out?

Say I Do impresses right out of the gate with its core features: stunning wedding websites, virtual invitations, RSVP and guest list management, and an interactive checklist. But what truly sets it apart are the thoughtful details that make planning easier and more enjoyable for couples.

One of the top reasons couples choose Say I Do is its simplicity and streamlined design. Unlike other platforms that can overwhelm you with endless questions and unnecessary complexity, Say I Do keeps things refreshingly straightforward. Signing up takes just seconds, and the guided setup ensures you’re off to a smooth start.

Say I Do is the easy wedding planning app

This easy wedding planning app is also a fantastic solution for couples planning multi-day and multi-event weddings. Say I Do lets you invite guests to specific events within your celebration, all managed under one platform. As past user Hannah shares, “You can put your order of the day online with your different venues if you’re having things in different places. I also love that guests can RSVP to individual events and only see the info relevant to them.”

How it Works

Here’s the best part: getting started is totally free—no credit card, no strings attached. You can create a full wedding website and manage a guest list for up to 85 people without spending a dime.

Once you’re set up, you can decide how much extra help you need. Say I Do offers three additional paid options loaded with helpful features like guest address collection, RSVP reminders, and even seating charts to make your planning as stress-free as possible.

Customizable Wedding Website Designs

Finding website templates that truly reflect your style can be a challenge, but Say I Do stands out with its stunning and fully customizable wedding website designs. The term “customizable” gets thrown around often, but in this easy wedding planning app, it really delivers. You can personalize every detail, from the font of your salutations to the color of your buttons and the alignment of your titles. It’s a dream come true for design-savvy couples who want their wedding website to be a true reflection of their style and taste.

Checklist of Our Dreams

One of our favorite features of this easy wedding planning app is their interactive checklist. This isn’t just any checklist; it assigns all the essential wedding tasks with specific deadlines tailored to your wedding date. For example, if your big day is on December 6, 2025, you’ll know to create your first draft of the guest list by December 13th, research and meet with photographers by January 13th, and order wedding invitations by April 13th. This is just a glimpse of how Say I Do helps you stay organized.

Plus, you can create your own tasks to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. As someone who relies on to-do lists daily, I can’t help but love how this feature brings the daunting undertaking of wedding planning into an easy, digestible list.

The Smartest RSVP Management

Lastly, guests can easily RSVP on your Say I Do wedding website using their smartphones or computers, and for those who may not have access, it’s easy to handle for them. Your guests can input all their contact details directly into your guest list—easy and efficient!

As user Sean from Spain shares, “We used this website to track our guest numbers, providing a place for people to RSVP if they didn’t use social media or WhatsApp. It was so easy to use and really made us not have to think about other things.”

Planning a wedding is exciting but can also feel overwhelming with so many details to think about. From choosing a theme to picking out the perfect dress and deciding on decor, there’s a lot to figure out. This is where Pinterest comes in handy. Pinterest is like a digital scrapbook that allows you to collect, organize, and visualize all your wedding ideas in one place. It’s the ultimate tool to help you explore different themes, styles, and trends and helps ensure that your wedding vision is cohesive and as beautiful in real life as it is in your head.

By learning how to use Pinterest effectively from the very start, you can organize your ideas, refine your style, and create a clear idea of what you truly want for your wedding day. With the right approach, it can transform your ideas into reality, so we’re breaking down exactly how to use it to make things a lot less stressful.

How to Utilize Pinterest at the Beginning of Wedding Planning

Set Up Your Pinterest Wedding Boards

Setting up your Pinterest boards for wedding planning is a fun and creative way to gather inspiration and organize your ideas. Creating dedicated boards and sections helps you quickly find what you need later. Here’s how you can set up your Pinterest wedding boards effectively:

1. Create Your Pinterest Wedding Master Board

  • Establish a main wedding board named “Our Wedding” or something similar.
  • This will serve as a central hub for all your wedding-related inspirations.

2. Organize with Specific Boards

Create separate boards for specific categories (these are just some examples but you can create as many as you want for anything and everything wedding related:

    • Dresses: Pin styles and designs that catch your eye. This can make shopping much easier when you get to that step because you’ll have specific dresses in mind
    • Flowers: Save ideas for floral arrangements that you want to recreate with the help of your florist.
    • Decor: Collect images of decorations, backdrops, centerpieces, and lighting.
    • Cakes: Pin different cake designs and flavors.
    • Venues: Save photos and information about potential venues you may want to tour.

3. Utilize Sections

Within each board, create sections to categorize your pins further. This helps streamline your ideas and provides clarity for vendors.

    • For example, under the “Cakes” board, add sections for Wedding Cakes, Cupcakes, and Dessert Tables.

4. Pin and Explore

Take your time to explore Pinterest. Later, revisit your master board to move pins into their respective boards.

    • Pin any content that inspires you, including articles, color palettes, and real wedding photos.
    • Don’t worry about organization at this stage; focus on gathering ideas.

5. Consider Secret Boards

If privacy is a concern, create secret boards:

    • These boards are only visible to you and anyone you invite.
    • Use them to keep certain choices private, like dress options or surprise elements for your guests.

Pin Freely and Explore Different Styles

In the early stages, pin everything you love, whether it’s rustic, modern, or Old Hollywood-inspired. Don’t worry about the details yet—just gather ideas that catch your eye. This allows you to explore different styles and find what feels right for your big day. In many cases, you’ll find that you’re attracted to one specific style or theme more than any others, but if you’re torn between a few different styles, don’t worry yet. This stage is all about finding what first captures your attention.

It’s also important to note that you don’t have to rely strictly on Pinterest content during this stage. If there is content on wedding blogs or Instagram that catches your attention, feel free to pin it to your boards to keep it all in one easy-to-access place. Most blogs will have a “pin this” button where you can save content directly from a site to your boards.

Narrow Down Your Style

Once you’ve collected enough pins, go through your boards and see if any patterns emerge. Do you notice a favorite color scheme or a preference for a specific style? Now’s the time to be cutthroat and brutally honest with yourself. Dissect each pin and what you liked about it. If, after you’ve scoured Pinterest for hours, you’re less drawn to a photo, trust your gut and delete it. Only keep the pins that feel right and fit the theme you’re most drawn to, and remove anything that doesn’t match. This helps focus your Pinterest wedding boards on what you truly want.

Check the Details and Make Sure It Works

Before committing to an idea, click on the pin to learn more about it. Make sure the look you love is realistically achievable within your budget and venue. This will keep your boards full of ideas that are both beautiful and practical.

Don’t Be Afraid to Delete Your Pinterest Wedding Pins

Even after you delete all of the photos that don’t fit with the theme that you’ve picked out, you can clean up your boards even further. Chances are you’ve pinned images that are either the same or very similar to one another. These boards are what you’re going to reference throughout your entire wedding planning process, so you want to keep only the photos that truly inspire you.

Share Your Boards With Partner and Vendors

Pinterest is one of the best tools for collaborating with your partner, wedding planner, or vendors. If they have a Pinterest account, you can add them as contributors to a board so they have full access. If they don’t have an account, you can simply share the link to your profile. Either way, share your boards with them so they can understand your style and add suggestions..

Use Pinterest to Test Different Styles

Still not sure about your wedding theme? Create different boards for each idea you like, such as boho, elegant, or garden styles. Comparing these boards side by side will help you decide which style best fits your wedding.

Stay Focused Once You Choose a Style

Pinterest has a lot to offer, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. We understand how easy it is to keep scrolling and look at all of the stunning images, but once you’ve chosen your theme, focus on your specific boards and avoid pinning outside that theme. This keeps your planning organized and makes turning your ideas into real plans easier.

Turn Pinterest Wedding Pins into Real Plans

After narrowing down your style, use your Pinterest wedding boards as a guide. Make separate checklists of dress styles, decor ideas, and flowers that you can mark as you go. This is when you’ll start shopping around for vendors, and if you have a clear idea of what you want, choosing professionals that are the right fit for you will be much easier. Taking your boards to meetings will make it clear what you want and help everyone stay on the same page from the very beginning.

Be Flexible with Your Ideas

While Pinterest is an excellent source of inspiration, real life might require some adjustments. Be open to changes based on your venue, budget, and available resources. Your wedding might look different from your boards, but it will still be unique and tailored to you.

Using Pinterest for your wedding planning can be a fun and creative adventure. As you gather ideas and figure out your style, you’ll be on your way to creating a special day that truly reflects you. Don’t forget to visit Junebug Weddings’ Pinterest for loads of great inspiration. With so many ideas to explore, you’ll find everything you need to make your wedding day amazing.

Lovebird digital wedding invitation

We’ve seen a ton of wedding tech rollouts, all claiming to make planning easier. From custom app builders to online registries, even all-in-one platforms, they all promise to save you time. But more often than not, they miss the mark when it comes to being cohesive, easy to use, and—let’s be real—actually looking good.

So when we were introduced to Lovebird–a comprehensive new digital wedding guest communication platform–we jumped at the opportunity to share with our readers. To us, Lovebird feels like a long-awaited lifeline tossed into the often chaotic waters of wedding planning. It simplifies wedding guest communication while offering a level of style and sophistication that’s been hard to find.

What is Lovebird?

We’ve hooked you with the promise of elegant and easy wedding guest communication—but how does it really work? Created by the same team behind popular apps like Punchbowl and Timehop, Lovebird allows couples to manage all guest interactions in one streamlined platform. It offers a full set of features including premium wedding websites, beautifully designed digital wedding invitations and save the dates delivered via text or email, RSVP tracking and notifications, guest list management, meal selection, guest polling, gift registry integration, and messaging capabilities.

No need to juggle multiple accounts, tools, or apps. No paper, no postage, no missing RSVPs. Lovebird allows your guests to have a single source for all wedding information, while also serving as your all-in-one wedding guest control center. It’s truly a win-win.

Lovebird’s Benefits and Standout Features

  • Efficiency. Friends and family might move across town, the country, or even the world,  but somethings remain constant: email addresses and phone numbers. Lovebird’s digital wedding invitations and save the dates eliminate the hassle of tracking down physical addresses, prepping envelopes by hand, and dealing with lost postage.
  • RSVP management. Say you invited a couple and only one partner can attend the ceremony, or you still haven’t received Great Aunt Sally’s response even though you heard through the grapevine she’s attending. Lovebird simplifies the complexities of managing RSVPs and attendance for you.
  • Polling capabilities. This feature is perfect for people-pleasers or the indecisive! Lovebird allows you to poll your guests with ease. Can’t decide between chicken or fish? Not sure if the bar should stock more red or white wine? Just ask your guests directly.
  • Email and SMS updates. Email is good, but you know what’s even more likely to be read? A text message. Lovebird helps you avoid those inevitable guest questions like “What time does the ceremony start?” or “Can I bring my new boyfriend?” by sending direct SMS updates to your guests’ phones.

The benefits of going digital can sometimes be overshadowed by bland, basic designs on other platforms. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for efficiency. After all, that save the date and invitation are the first impression your guests will have of your wedding day.

That’s why Lovebird offers hundreds of stunning design suites for all wedding styles and preferences, bringing both elegance and cohesiveness to your digital wedding stationery.
